This board is extremely light and well finished plus really rips for a 32' wide board.
Its high performance lines means it needs good waves to feel good.

What the brand says
These are the boards of our pro-team and are developed by our best riders.
Fast and easy to get moving when paddling, the take-off is super quick with instant acceleration down to the bottom turn with a very intuitive carving. These boards offer a perfect longitudinal balance so that you can really focus on the wave instead of worrying with the board.
No need to force or move your feet around to turn the board: everything is natural. It becomes easier to follow the progression of the wave and carve your lines. The smaller sizes (< 8’0”) are genuine high performance surf boards, very well balanced and especially responsive to perform the most explosive surf.
The middle sizes (8’0” / 8’3”) offer a very dynamic behavior with enough volume to let all types of riders express themselves with some progressive and committed surf. The larger sizes (8’5” / 8’8”) are very accessible wave boards with a lot of stability. They remain very responsive in the waves and offer a lot of possibilities for the heavier riders or those less experimented.
All boards come with 5 Futures fin boxes so they can be set both as Thruster or Quattro.
The PRO CARBON construction is available on the whole range from 6’8” to 8’8”. The deck is built from layers of glass, bamboo and some bi-axial carbon fabrics. The bottom features an HD foam sandwich with glass layers and some bi-axial carbon fabrics. The brushed carbon finish ensures the weight remains minimal. This construction brings an impressive resistance to the MADEIRO range combined with absolute light weight.
These boards feature an amazing strength to weight ratio and remain amongst the highest performing and lightest boards on the market.
Hi, could you compare this board to Starboard Wide Point 8’10 in term of stability, rowing and tight turn?
I have used a fanatic prowave 8’9 x 29,5″ and this F-One should be much more stable and surf even better because of the rocker.
I tried also a Gong MOB 8’2×32″ which is more stable but so large tail is not so good for surfing and maybe also row is worst.
What do you think?
Thank you
Andrea
This would be a good test. I would say the stability of the 2 boards is about the same. But like you said the Madeiro will take the edge when it comes to performance. Thinner rails and more rocker. If you want more top end performance the Madeiro is the board over the WP. I haven’t used that Gong, so cant really comment on that one sorry. Thanks
Any chance of actually reviewing the Gong Mob Rueben?
I have seen it and it looks fun, we are trying to get some Gong stuff sorted for review. Watch this space. Give them a mail and say you want to see their stuff on SUPboarder. Every little helps. Thanks
I had this board from Beginner/Intermediate and its very, very stable and I loved it!! It was a fantastic board and agree with Reubens comments. It took me into being a competent Intermediate from a beginner with some experience. The bottom turns are great fun and I think it surfs good in smaller less ideal waves as well as coming alive in punchier waves. This board is brilliant!!
It’s always great to hear from the paddlers who have used the boards for a while. F-One really are making some lovely shapes. Thanks for the comment 🙂
