Most boards have stringers, which are usually made of plywood and run down the middle of the board to give the board strength, stiffness and to stop it from snapping in big hammerings. So when you see Alexandre Takeo‘s boards with triple stringers you know he’s going to be paddling into some heavy stuff!! Alexandre Takeo is one of the few SUP surfers who braves the heavy wave at Puerto Escondido in Mexico.
The hammering he gets at 1:25 is pretty bad and why he has triple stringers! That is surely going to hurt both the board and him. Ouch!
