”Last weekend was the 1st stop of the 2016 Stand Up World Series in Zushi Beach, Tokyo, Japan. One of the most competitive races of the year so far with all the big Hawaiian names in the mix. Personally I had a frustrating event with nerve damage in my neck, I couldn’t race the long distance which was a Super Lap format. (Which I was stoked to see happening). I raced in the sprints on Saturday morning only to be put into the hardest heat of the day in round 3. Never the less, the Japanese SUP community put on an amazing event and Casper Stienfath took the well deserved win” Words : Peter Kosinski
