Surf & Sup Conference
2015 will see the worlds first SUP and Surf Coaching and Development conference. The aim is to professionally update existing coaches, share ideas and develop together regardless of existing affiliations or associations. It is a unique opportunity for not only coaches, schools, clubs and professionals to come together but also those looking to develop their skills. It is an unrivalled weekend to meet and discuss ideas with like minded people and those across the industry. Europe’s 1st SUP and Surf Coaching Conference

- Cost – £100 including evening meal (or £60 per day)
A great opportunity for SUP and Surf coaches, guides, school and center owners, competitors and those looking for professional development.
Throughout the weekend workshops will be held in areas, such as technique, teaching and coaching, equipment and tips and tricks all aimed at developing those attending. It will be an ideal occasion to chat with others in same industry, share experiences and ask questions. Saturday afternoon will be dedicated to trying new equipment and discussions with manufacturers.

SUP and Surf- The Coaching Process – A great insight on how we learn and effective methods for coaching and getting the best from your students and your coaching. (full day)
SUP and Surf Coaching Differently Abled – This workshop will show you that anything is possible, breaking down barriers and setting high standards for all. It will also be a great opportunity for sharing ideas and methods. (am)
SUP and Surf Rescue – An update workshop to introduce preventative ideas, new effective methods and rescue techniques to share ideas and overcome problems. (am)
SUP Perfect Paddling – The dark art of the glide, what is the most effective stroke, how it works and put it into practice. (am)
SUP Race Tips and Tricks – Join the UK’s best race practitioners for an insight into areas that will develop your racing. (am)
Surf Coach Tricks – An open forum to discuss how we as surf coaches problem solve, encourage and get our clients standing. (am)
SUP White Water Safety – Before jumping onto white water, learn some basic survival techniques to keep you safe, including equipment use, swimming and throw bag use. (am)
SUP Fit – A workshop to introduce some group management techniques and exercises, great for your paddle outs or to progress to be a SUP Fit coach.
Sunday 19th April
SUP Surf Development – Progress your SUP surfing under the watchful eye of the British Champion. We will be looking into board and paddle design, useful techniques as well as coaching tips. You will need to have a level of skill to catch waves. (all day)
Surf and SUP First Aid Update – This workshop can be used to update your first aid. Working in an outdoor setting we will be focusing on simple, effective techniques and essential knowledge. (all day)
Surf Coaching Improvers – An open forum to help us learn progressive methods of coaching improvers, hands on workshop putting ideas into practice. (all day)
