When filming yourself SUPing it’s often hard to think of new and exciting angles to shoot from. But with a bit of initiative and some DIY skills it’s possible to do some pretty cool stuff! That’s exactly what Mark Raaphorst did in Maui. He built himself a new camera mount which he then connected to the back of his SIC race board. He then teamed up with Livio Menelau to take it out for a test run. Mark and Livio paddled from Maliko Gulch to Kahului Harbor, riding wind swells on hollow, light weight SIC V1 Bullets with built in active steering systems. And they captured some great footage too!
If you have done any cool stuff with cameras and SUPs, let us know.
