What we say
The Thurso Surf 150 Expedition is best suited to riders who have some experience paddling already and want a board that will carry loads of gear for their touring expeditions. At 12’6″ long with a narrow nose and tail, you are getting great glide with added stability of 31″ of width in the middle.
Riders between 80-90kg with some prior paddling experience will notice the speed and ease of use when loading up with gear.
You’re getting a really great package with purchase, but bear in mind that the handle is slightly off weighted and the nose dips, the bag can be uncomfortable to carry longer distances and the rear cargo area could be extended.
Other than these issues, the Thurso Surf 150 Expedition is your go to board for exploring beyond.

What the brand says
“Fast, but stable it’s the perfect choice to carry you and all of your gear to your destination, no matter how far.”
Built with long distance paddling in mind, the Expedition 150 Touring SUP is shaped like a spearpoint. Long and narrow, its glide and tracking are superior making it notably faster than other boards. Its pointed nose pierces through chop to keep you flying straight toward your target without losing speed. While it’s narrow relative to its length, the higher displacement of the Expedition 150 makes it surprisingly forgiving as conditions become more challenging. For a touring board this long, carbon enhanced rails are a must. They run the length of the board ensuring rigidity beyond the capability of other inflatables giving you greater glide with every stroke and hardboard-like performance. If your aim is to go far, there’s no better choice.
