Welcome to our collection of the biggest news and stories that have taken place in the SUP world from the previous month. Let's recap what happened in October 2025.

AUSTRALIAN SUP TITLES - 2025 Results

The 2025 Australian SUP Titles concluded in spectacular fashion at Phillip Island, celebrating the nation’s top stand-up paddlers across surfing and racing disciplines. With small but clean waves and light offshore winds, competitors showcased their skills in true Victorian style. Local favourite Matt Takle (VIC) impressed in the Thermos Open Men’s division with a near-perfect score to claim the title, while Rebecca Dunning (NSW) dominated the women’s divisions, taking victories in the Open Women, O40 Women, and both the Technical and Marathon O40 Women’s races. Other standout performances came from veterans Dave Sheen (WA) and Marty Cole (NSW), alongside rising talent Willa Webb (VIC), who won the U18 Junior Women’s crown.

In the racing divisions, Queensland’s Juan Cruz and Victoria’s Sorelle Nolan claimed the Open Men’s and Women’s Marathon titles, while Connor Linz (NSW) and Ke’ale Dorries (QLD) took out the Technical Races. Age-group competitors like Warwick Lee (VIC) and Dave Warner (VIC) also impressed, and Hayden Copping (NSW) dominated the prone categories. The event was a true celebration of SUP’s diversity and community spirit, with competitors tackling everything from clean point breaks to challenging open-water marathons. Organisers praised all athletes, volunteers, and supporters for making the 2025 edition a standout success.
