Monthly Round-up of SUP / September 2025

Welcome to our collection of the biggest news and stories that have taken place in the SUP world from the previous month. Let's recap what happened in September 2025.

SUPERfestival 2025 - Torquay, UK

The English Riviera buzzed with stand-up paddleboarding excitement on 6–7 September 2025 as SUPERFestivaltransformed Torquay’s Inner Harbour into a hub for sprint races, SUP Polo, and community paddling events. Spectators lined the harbour walls to watch fast-paced sprint heats, technical buoy-turn races, and One Design competitions, which highlighted pure paddling skill on identical boards.

The festival also celebrated inclusivity with the AquaPaddle 5K, welcoming families, newcomers, and leisure paddlers. SUP Polo proved a standout, entertaining crowds with its dynamic, board-based gameplay.

While distance races were canceled due to a lightning forecast, the weekend successfully combined high-level competition with community fun, showcasing the growing popularity of SUP in the UK and setting the stage for Torbay’s goal of hosting the ICF SUP World Cup in 2026.
