NORDHAUSEN 2025 NEWSLETTER - SUPboarder Magazine

Great day of racing in Nordhausen, Germany for the fifth edition of the Nordhausen SUP Cup, part of the Euro Tour SUP. With epic weather, the amazing clear water of the lake Sundhäuser made for some exciting action.

On the women’s side Oda Diestel impressed everyone with her first major win after breaking off in the first lap from second place. In second was Emma Freja Pedersen who had a very consistent race, for her best result on tour yet. In third was the junior Elin van der Sar showing that she’s stepped up her training last winter, also for her best result. In 4th after a very consistent race was Stinna Lerche and closing out the Top5 was another prominent junior Katrine Sandberg.

The battle for the men’s trophy had previous event winner Donato Freens as a clear favourite, he paddled a flawless race and finally got his first win this season for Eurotour2025. After some close racing, in second came Maximus Sijrier, alongside 3rd place Bastian Grimm who missed the final turn and had to re-trace his steps – losing a spot in the process. In 4th Tomas Lelovits with a very consistent race, keeping the Top3 in sight. Closing the Top5 was Michele Capizzi with a solo paddle after taking the superlap early and getting his best result on tour.

Also the local club @sup_piraten_nordhausen for being instrumental in making he weekend happen & all their volunteer help throughout the weekend. Special mention to the local Susanne Lier for putting it all together and stepping up as the race director/ beach speaker.
