Molokai Holokai - M2M
The Maui2Molokai (Molokai Holokai) is the first big downwind race held before the infamous Molokai 2 Oahu (M2O) and this year saw a record number of SUP foil participants with 123 entrants. This event is seen as a warm up for some athletes competing in the M2O just 2 days laster.
About M2M
The Molokai Holokai Ho’olaule’a began in 2003 as Na Opio Hana Pa’a, a Celebration of Youth Opportunities. It involved a Maui to Molokai Challenge to bring ocean enthusiasts to Molokai. The event included community events and culminated in music and festivities at Malama Park. Over the years, the event evolved and adapted to community needs. However, Malama Park faced challenges and became unavailable. The hope is to bring Malama Park back as a venue for the event in the future.
