Hand Placement on your paddle Tip: Foiling

Jeremy Riggs shares a little tip he has been practicing for a while which relates to where you place your hands on the paddle to maximise efficiency when downwind SUP foiling.

Jeremy Riggs: After testing this theory at practice for the last few weeks it seems to be working very well. One of the key fundamentals to popping up in flat water or on downwind bumps is maintaining good posture. Other factors include a solid catch, good board speed and a sense of unweighting the board during the recovery phase of the stroke. If your posture is off and your center of mass is compromised the workload is increased and efficiency decreases. Hope this tip helps you out with your pop ups.
