2024 GB SUP National Racing Series Dates

Mark your calendars for Saturday, 30th March 2024, because the GBSUP National Series kicks off its 2024 season with the Bewl Bash! This friendly and welcoming SUP event takes place on the picturesque Bewl Water in Kent, England, offering something for everyone, from seasoned racers to those just starting out.

• Fleet Racing: Experienced paddlers prepare for a gruelling 12km course consisting of two 6km laps. Put your technique to the test and compete for top honours.
• Challenge Tour: New to SUP racing or looking for a less demanding course? The 6km Challenge Tour is perfect! Enjoy the camaraderie and experience the thrill of competition in a relaxed setting.
• Junior Races: Youngsters can join the fun too! The 2km junior races provide a safe and exciting environment for kids to develop their SUP skills and make new friends.

Calling all SUP and surf ski enthusiasts! Gear up for the Cardiff Stadium Pursuit on Sunday, 5th May 2024, at the Cardiff International White Water Centre. This event is round 2 of the 2024 GBSUP National Series, offering something for paddlers of all levels and disciplines.

Test your SUP skills on the water:

• Long Distance Course (12km): Experienced racers, prepare for a challenging out-and-back course in Cardiff Bay and the River Taff, culminating at the iconic Principality Stadium.
• Challenge Tour (6km): New to SUP racing or seeking a more relaxed challenge? The 6km course provides the perfect platform to experience the thrill of competition and enjoy the stunning Cardiff scenery.
• Juniors (2km): Encourage the next generation of paddlers with the dedicated 2km junior course, a safe and exciting environment to develop skills and make new friends.

Surf Ski debuts at Cardiff Stadium Pursuit:

This year, we’re excited to welcome the surf ski community with a dedicated race, offering fleets for male and female U18s, Open, Over 40s, Over 50s, and Open Double Ski categories.

Gear up for an adrenaline-fueled day on June 8th as the GBSUP National Series returns to the stunning South Coast of England, hosted by BaySUP for the iconic Battle of the Bay. Paddlers are in for a treat as they navigate the waters off Friars Cliffe in Christchurch, taking on both the Distance and Tech Race for an action-packed racing extravaganza.

Join us for the 4th stop on the 2024 National Series as we return to Falmouth Bay for the third consecutive year. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Falmouth’s coastal beauty, paddlers will face off in Distance, Tech, and Sprint formats over two action-packed days. Anticipate an exhilarating mix of paddling craft, including a formidable prone contingent, and don’t miss the Junior events.

Gear up for the Northern SUP Race Club’s Beadnell Belter on September 8th, following the resounding success of the 2023 event. Embrace the beauty of the Northeast Coast as we return to Beadnell for a day of exhilarating racing featuring Distance and Tech events. With a significant Junior presence anticipated, this promises to be a can’t-miss paddleboarding spectacle.

Immerse yourself in the breathtaking landscapes of the North East Coast as the Beadnell Belter returns for another thrilling edition. With the echoes of the successful 2023 event, this day promises not only top-tier racing but also a celebration of the paddleboarding community against the backdrop of Beadnell’s coastal charm.

Join us on October 5th for the grand finale of the 2024 National Series at Calshot, hosted by the Activities team and The SUP Co. Brace yourself for the ultimate showdown with a Distance and Tech race set against the backdrop of the sheltered lagoon and Calshot beachfront. Cap off the season with an unforgettable evening of drinks and celebration, honouring our competitors and season champions in style.
