On the mens side, French superstar Arthur Arutkin won both heats to take the win. After a tough race in the World SUP Festival a month ago, he won his heats convincingly, but in number 2 an early fall out put him behind the Top 10. With an amazing comeback in the short course he secured the win. The battle for second was fierce, but Christian Andersen fought to the end to edge out his team mate Blue Ewer in third by 1 second. Behind them Fernando Perez Serra was ultra consistent in both heats to finish 4th. In yet another crazy finish, Ollie Houghton had an epic second heat that saw him close the Top5 only 1sec behind his team mate.

On the women’s side, local Alba Frey gave no chance to her rivals and won both heats with authority. In yet another outstanding performance Anna Tschirky in second place was not far behind. The always consistent Susanne Lier in third had two solid heats. On her first Euro Tour podium Claudia Luchetta in 4th showed great progress from last year’s performance. Our Junior winner Bianca Toncellii had a breakthrough performance with a fantastic second heat that showed her claim a Top5 result.

The kid’s & Amateur race in the morning were exciting and was great to see how much the youngsters from all over Spain and specially the local Second Reef team are improving. We really want to thank the entire team at Second Reef specially Edu & Isa for their very professional and seamless organization. Also Tipsy Hammock for all their support & going above and beyond to make sure everyone it’s well taken care of.
