What we say
The Coral range of iSUPs from Aqua Marina are aimed at female and lighter weight riders with a narrower outline and lighter construction. With an all round shape and touring design, Aqua Marina have really thought about their target market. Both boards are 31″ in width which promotes a better paddle stroke for smaller riders when compared to a 32″ wide board.
10’2″ All-Around
With the added bonus of a 4.7″ thick board, light riders under 80kg will benefit from stability and ease of use when cruising around waterways on this board. As an all-around design, it’s recommended for beginner paddlers, those looking for a family board to play around with kids or something that’s lightweight and manoeuvrable.
11’6 Touring
If you plan on paddling little further, opt for the Coral touring model. With the slightly longer length and multiple bungee systems, it allows you paddle faster and carry gear. Still not as long as other touring boards, this helps for smaller riders to manoeuvre and turn this board which benefits for all around performance.
The paddle could be upgraded and you need to be aware of the conditions you paddle in. These boards love calm waters, but can be tricky to ride when the wind comes up or when paddling against current. Consider this, your local water conditions and your ability when choosing this board.
All in all, a great choice for smaller and lighter riders.
