On Sunday, 8th September, 2013 the biggest Italian Stand Up Paddle event was held in Lignano. The Lignano SUP Race is a long distance amateur SUP “regatta” of 5 or 8 Km. The event, now in it’s forth year, has grown in size each year – 40 in 2010, 78 in 2011, 155 in 2012, and 265 in 2013! It’s the most attended SUP event in Europe and looks like a definite one to have on your SUP bucket list if you haven’t already! Check out this great trailer of the event to see what it’s all about.
